Cream vs. Oil: What's the Difference?

Cream vs. Oil: What's the Difference?

Did you know that our skin is remarkably intelligent? It naturally possesses a protective layer called the hydrolipidic mantle, an essential part of our skin's defense system. While the term may sound complex, its meaning cannot be overstated. This protective layer serves a multitude of purposes, shielding us from various external factors such as UV rays, pollution, chemicals, and bacteria. It's truly astonishing how intricately our bodies are designed to protect us. The more I learn about this, the more convinced I become of our body's extraordinary capabilities. Furthermore, this layer has a superpower in moisture regulation, preventing the loss of essential minerals. Isn't it fascinating to consider ourselves as superhumans?

Our skin produces sebum, originating from the sebaceous glands. Sebum is not just any oily substance—it's a natural wonder. Beyond its moisturizing properties, sebum acts as a shield, preventing moisture loss and forming a barrier against harmful invaders. It's nature's ingenious strategy to keep our skin hydrated and protected from external threats. Equally crucial is moisture, the lifeblood of skin health. Supported by various mechanisms, moisture ensures that our skin remains hydrated, nourished, and supple. It orchestrates the delivery of essential nutrients to skin cells and contributes to the removal of waste products, ensuring our skin radiates with health and vitality.

Maintaining the delicate balance between sebum and moisture is the foundation of healthy skin. This balance can be achieved through simple yet powerful practices. Adequate hydration through regular water intake, gentle cleansing to remove excess sebum and impurities from the skin, and a nutritious diet rich in essential fatty acids—all contribute to promoting optimal skin health.

Why Choose Natural Skincare?

It's essential to consider what we apply to our skin, as it's our body's largest organ. Opting for natural skincare products can result in a fresher appearance, reduced reliance on makeup, alleviated itching, and hydration for dry skin. Moreover, it's not just beneficial for yourself but also for the world and your environmental footprint. Choosing natural products reduces overproduction and mass consumption. By choosing natural, you're not only benefiting yourself but also contributing positively to the world. Understanding the nutritional needs of our skin is crucial. But how do we make the right choice?

Cream vs. Oil: What's the Difference?

Do you lean towards using cream or oil on your skin? Understanding the distinction between the two can help you make an informed decision. Creams often consist of over 70% water, an ingredient that our skin struggles to absorb. Moreover, emulsifiers are added to preserve the cream, leaving little room for active ingredients. In contrast, oils are rich in nutrients and can deeply nourish the skin. They complement each other and each has its unique superpower. And the most beautiful thing? It's a pure natural product, a gift from Mother Nature.

The hibiscus face balm and face oil are formulated with a blend of nourishing oils that replenish the skin and combat signs of aging. The products are water-free, 100% pure. We add natural antioxidants such as vitamin E for preservation, maintaining their potency and effectiveness. By delivering essential nutrients to the skin, these products help maintain a healthy and youthful complexion.

This dedication to purity and potency led me on a quest to uncover the truth behind commercial creams. The result? A range of products from The Herbal Nomad that deliver tangible results, harnessing the power of nature to nurture and protect your skin. This journey of discovery has fueled my commitment to transparency and integrity in skincare, empowering individuals to make informed choices about what they apply to their skin. And all of this by collaborating with nature.

Hi Evelien,

Liefs, Nikki
