How it all started – About 10 years ago, my modeling career took off, surrounded by glitter, glamour, and heaps of makeup and hairspray. However, all those products started to take a toll on my skin, leading to long-term skin conditions and scalp problems. I found myself at a crossroads - I didn't want to give up my modeling career, but things couldn't continue the way they were. From that moment, I started living more in nature and embraced a nomadic lifestyle. I became more authentic and connected to my heart.
I began creating my own vegetable and herb garden, which was challenging but so much fun! Slugs devoured my beets and lettuce, but radishes and marigolds stood resilient. Later, I learned to make beautiful oils from them. This journey made me realize that I wanted to address my skin problems in the most natural way possible.
I explored natural stores in the Netherlands, but couldn't find skin or scalp products that were 100% natural. This was a clear sign for me to take matters into my own hands. My quest for a natural solution led me to dive into the world of herbal remedies. I devoured blogs, books, and took a year-long course in herbal medicine at 'De Groene Zon.' Yet, the most profound lessons came from hands-on experience.
My love for nature kept growing and growing and I became even more enthusiastic about the results of natural skin products. Along the way, I discovered a wealth of knowledge about the medicinal effects of herbs, plants, flowers, and natural oils. Out of this passion, The Herbal Nomad was born. Embracing the herbal lifestyle, I said 'yes' knowing that the journey is never-ending, which only fuels my curiosity even more.
